About

Yovela: Rejoicer (Hebrew)

Belicia: Dedicated to God (Hebrew)

Welcome, friend! This is my little space on the internet where I share parts of my life, my thoughts, and other inspiration all for one purpose- for the glory of God.

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

I first decided to start this blog because writing my thoughts has always been helpful to me. Writing helps me be more self-aware and introspective, and in many ways it has helped me grow closer to God.

I have thought about starting a blog many times over the past years. I came up with a load of excuses of why I should not. I don’t have the time. I don’t have the writing skills. What if nobody reads it? What if I embarrass myself in front of the whole internet? What do I even write about?!

But finally, I decided to stop pushing away all the doubts and fears and laziness. If this is what God wants you to do, won’t He equip you? Can’t He work through you despite your weaknesses? Why do you have to be worried? Just trust and obey.

And that is when I decided to take something called a step of faith.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-11

I am not writing and sharing things because I feel like I have perfectly applied them in my own life. I am by no means perfect; I am constantly making mistakes, failing, and learning. I want to write and share them with you because I hope that we will be able to learn together. Not as a teacher and student, but as fellow friends.

I don’t know all the plans God has for you, me, or this blog. But my hope is that this blog will be an inspiration for you to discover and be ever in awe of God’s presence and faithfulness in your own life.

God bless you!
